In case you hadn’t noticed, melody is back, and it’s back in a big way. SunDance Records from Australia leads the way with the long awaited debut album from Serbian maestro, Goran Yuric, aka TALPA.
TALPA has given ethereal melodies an eastern edge and combined them with driving, original basslines, coming up with an exciting new direction for psytrance, whilst retaining a very high respect for the dance floor. TALPA dishes up super size helpings of Melody without a slice of cheese in sight.
Heavily influenced by Simon Posford & Infected Mushroom, TALPA manages to pay homage to these masters whilst retaining a unique sound that is distinctively TALPA.
The album consists of one chill track, and 9 dance tracks, all of which have been tested on dancefloors around the globe, with outstanding results.
The Art of Being Non will easily be one of the most significant artist’s albums released this year, perhaps even the last 5 years. It will sit very comfortably next to milestone classics such as Hallucinogen – “Twisted” & Infected Mushroom – “Classical Mushroom”.
